Measurements

 

Measurements can seem daunting, but with a trusted friend and assistance from Lilly Design Studio, were here to guide you step by step , so you can feel confident that your dress will fit perfectly.

Here is some tips before you start measuring.
1. Wear the bra or similar to the bra you are likely going to wear on the wedding day
2. Use a soft, flexible measurement tape. The tape should be snug but never tight, no squeezing.
3. Consider the shoes you will wear when measuring your waist to floor
4. Always have a friend assist
5. Measure twice

6. Stand naturally and arms relaxed
7. If in doubt let us assist

Bust

Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust, ensuring the tape sits level all the way around.

Underbust

Wrap the measuring tape directly beneath the bust, where a bra band would sit. Make sure its level around your torso.

Waist

Wrap the measuring tape around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the belly button.

Shoulder to waist

Place the end of the measuring tape at the top of the shoulder, where a dress strap or shoulder swam would naturally sit. Measure straight down the front of body, passing over the fullest part of your bust, until you reach your natural waistline.

Hips

Wrap the measuring tape around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the belly button.

Waist to end

Stand upright with your feet together and in the shoes you plan to wear with your dress. Place the end of the measuring tape at your natural waistline and measure straight down to the floor or where you'd like the dress to end.
